Mismatched partners on the New York City police force actually blend together as a team. Jimmy Monroe (Bruce Willis) and Paul Hodges (Tracy Morgan) are separated by race and age and attitude, but have a chemistry that puts them in great tradition of sidekicks with lethal weapons. When Jimmy’s baseball card collection goes missing, they team up unofficially and off-duty to find the culprit in the memorabilia business. The thief is Dave (Seann William Scott) who finds himself victim of unorthodox buddy justice usually reserved for drug dealers like Poh Boy (Guillermo Diaz). Already in trouble with Captain Romans (Sean Cullen) for their lackadaisical approach to the job, the cops spend forty-eight hours to solve the crime.
